Show Notes

  1. When you exercise, about 75% (!!!) of that energy goes into HEAT. And all of your body, but especially your BRAIN is sensitive to heat. All of that has to be kept in check WHILE your MUSCLES are working. So it is a constant battle, and thus you need to always consider even the slightest changes in temperature has an effect ( for competition AND training).
  2. If you are a HUMAN, you can do well in the heat – even if you don’t agree at first, there is HEAPS you can do to get even better at it.
  3. Heat acclimation: GET HOT! Progressively increase from little bouts, but the more often you do it, and the longer you do it, the more you will adapt. Simple!
