This week, the Sun and Mars enter the fiery sign of Sagittarius, giving us three planetary bodies in the sign ruled by our most expansive planet, Jupiter. It’s time to dream big.
Sun Enters Sagittarius
In Jungian psychology, an archetype is a universal idea, symbol, image, pattern, or thought that is present in the collective unconscious of all human beings. These archetypes come to life each time they are expressed through our unique experiences, intentions, and consciousness.
Sagittarius, as an archetype, exists within each of us, too. As the Sun shifts through the sign’s realm, it comes to the surface within us all. Beginning on November 22, 2023, and continuing until December 21, 2023, Sagittarius season is an adventure-filled invitation to broaden our beliefs, perspectives, experiences, and opportunities.
Passions run hot this season. We are shifting out of the waters of Scorpio, where the deep currents of emotion were calling our names. Sagittarius season, however, is all about instinct and action, excitement and passion.

It is by being in the world that we not only become more of who we are but are given the opportunity to meet more of life.
Mars Enters Sagittarius
Shortly after the Sun enters Sagittarius, Mars also enters the fire sign, where it will remain until January 4, 2024.
Whenever Mars shifts, so does our motivation. Mars is our fuel, passion, drive, and assertion. It supports us to take action toward our dreams, pursue our desires, and create in our lives whatever imaginings present in our minds. As Mars enters Sagittarius, the fire sign begins to shape and influence our drive and desires.
The sign of Sagittarius encourages us to live with passion, adventure, experience, and fullness. It is a sign that seeks meaning and wisdom from lived experiences. It wants us to journey as wide and far as possible, allowing our mind and sense of self to be reshaped and expanded in the process.
